TD Retail Card Services Acquires Private Label Credit Card Program of Canada's The Source By Circuit City

MAHWAH, N.J. (9/9/08) - TD Retail Card Services (formerly Shoppers Charge Accounts Co.) has acquired the private label credit card program of InterTan Canada Ltd. which operates under the banner of The Source By Circuit City, through 775 corporate stores and dealer outlets throughout Canada and online at www.thesource.ca. The Mahwah, N.J.,-based business unit of TD will administer the program on an ongoing basis.

Under TD Retail Card Services' stewardship, The Source By Circuit City credit card will offer a variety of special financing options, including three-, six- and 12-month deferred payment plans, as well as a 16-month deferred payment plan during special promotions. For the first time, the program will also incorporate a customer loyalty program, Source RewardsTM, under which cardholders will have the opportunity to earn reward certificates.
